These terms are the end-user license agreement for the Apredia app and also govern your use of this website, provided by Aqtisoft (“we”). By creating an account or using Apredia, you accept these terms and our Privacy policy.
Eligibility
To use Apredia you must be 18 or older and live in a country where Apredia is available. When you create your account, you declare that you meet these requirements. If your declaration is not true, we may restrict or close your account. If we receive credible information that an account belongs to a minor, we block new purchases on it.
Your account
You can sign in with Google, with Apple, or with email and password. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity on your account.
Educational content
Apredia provides preparation material that is reviewed before it is published. Apredia is an independent tool: it is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any exam-administering body, and it does not guarantee that you will pass an exam. Always check the official information from the relevant body.
We may publish new versions of an exam. If you have active access, you receive the latest published version at no extra cost.
Free trials and access
- Every exam includes a free trial with selected lessons. You can start it once per exam.
- Unlocking an exam with credits gives you full access for the number of days shown in its details. If you buy another period before the current one ends, the new period starts when the current one ends.
- If an exam stops being offered, we honor your active access until it expires. If an exam is archived, it is no longer available to anyone.
- Access is personal and cannot be transferred.
Credits
- Credits are a unit of use within Apredia. They are not money, earn no interest, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred to another account.
- Credits are purchased through App Store or Google Play in-app purchases. The store shows the final price in your currency.
- Credits do not expire. They stay in your balance for as long as your account exists.
- Credits are consumable: they are deducted when used and are not restored by reinstalling the app, because your balance lives in your account, not on the device.
- Accounts with a verified identity receive a one-time welcome bonus of 30 credits.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its policies. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, we deduct that purchase’s credits, even if your balance becomes negative. Access to exams you already unlocked remains until it expires.
- Your credit history is an unalterable record that you can view in Profile.
Tutor AI
Tutor AI generates answers automatically from the exam’s approved sources and general knowledge. Answers may contain errors and do not replace reviewed content or official information. Each completed answer deducts credits based on actual usage; failed attempts are not charged. A charge can make your balance negative, in which case you will need to buy credits to keep using Tutor AI.
Your questions are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate the answer, as explained in the Privacy policy. We filter misuse and may limit, suspend, or disable Tutor AI, in general or for an account that uses it abusively. If an answer is offensive, harmful, or inappropriate, report it to [email protected] with the date and topic; we review every report and respond promptly.
Acceptable use
You may not copy, redistribute, or resell Apredia content; try to access content or accounts without authorization; interfere with the service; use automated means to extract content; or use Tutor AI for illegal or abusive purposes.
Intellectual property
Apredia’s content, design, trademarks, and software belong to Aqtisoft or its licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them for studying.
App stores
If you download Apredia from the App Store or Google Play, that store’s terms and usage rules also apply. You must also comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app, such as those of your internet or mobile data provider.
Additional terms for the Apple App Store
If you download Apredia from the Apple App Store, you also agree to the following:
- Acknowledgement. These terms are an agreement between you and Aqtisoft only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Aqtisoft, not Apple, is solely responsible for Apredia and its content. These terms may not provide for usage rules that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Scope of license. The license we grant you is non-transferable and lets you use Apredia on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including use by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. Aqtisoft is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for Apredia. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app.
- Warranty. Aqtisoft is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If Apredia fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to a warranty are Aqtisoft’s sole responsibility.
- Product claims. Aqtisoft, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Apredia or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation. These terms do not limit Aqtisoft’s liability beyond what applicable law permits.
- Intellectual property rights. If a third party claims that Apredia or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Aqtisoft, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer details. Questions, complaints, or claims about the app should be directed to Aqtisoft using the details in the Contact section of these terms.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Apredia, for example your wireless data service agreement.
- Third-party beneficiary. You acknowledge and agree that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Additional terms for Google Play
If you download Apredia from Google Play, in-app purchases are processed with Google Play billing and are governed by Google Play’s terms of service and refund policies. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Apredia or its content.
Suspension and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Profile; see how to delete your account. Deletion is permanent: you lose access to your exams and your credit balance. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
Limitation of liability
Apredia is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or exam results. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by Costa Rica’s consumer protection law or other applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page and, if the change is significant, notify you in the app before it takes effect.
